This page describes how Playjar handles your data. The short version: we don't ask for an account, we don't sell anything, and the only third party getting any signal from your visit is Google AdSense (which handles its own data and gives you direct controls).
What we collect ourselves
Almost nothing. Playjar runs as a static site on Cloudflare Pages — there's no login layer, no comments database, no user accounts. The closest thing we collect is aggregated, anonymous page-view counts from Cloudflare Web Analytics, which does not use cookies and cannot identify individual users.
If you email us, we keep the email in our mailbox for as long as it's useful to have a record (typically a year or two). We don't add you to a mailing list. We won't share your address with anyone unless you ask us to.
What Google AdSense does
Ads on Playjar are served by Google AdSense. Google sets its own cookies and uses its own measurement signals to decide which ads to show. We don't get the personally identifying parts of that data — only aggregate reports about which ad units performed.
You can manage how Google personalizes ads to you at Google Ads Settings. To opt out of third-party advertising cookies more broadly, use aboutads.info or youronlinechoices.eu.
The games themselves
Each game on Playjar is served from a third-party content network (currently GameDistribution). The game runs inside an iframe, and that iframe may set its own cookies for analytics or ad delivery, governed by the game host's privacy policy, not ours.
If you live in the EU, UK, or Switzerland
GDPR rights apply: access, correction, deletion, portability, and withdrawal of consent. The legal basis for processing what little we do hold is legitimate interest in operating the site. Email [email protected] to exercise any right.
If you live in California
The CCPA gives you the right to know, delete, and opt out of any sale of personal information. Playjar doesn't sell personal information. To make a verifiable consumer request, email [email protected].
Children
Playjar isn't directed at children under 13 and we don't knowingly collect their data. If a child has reached out to us by mistake, write to [email protected] and we'll delete it.
Changes
Material changes to this policy will be reflected by updating the date at the top. If something significant changes for advertising-related collection, we'll surface a notice on the home page for at least 30 days.
